Due to recent promotions from within their organization, we are aggressively seeking a self motivated Senior Product Engineer.
§ Evaluate customer requirements to determine and formulate design criteria necessary to develop electrical connectors, materials and/or processes.
§ Prepare and approve technical reports and design proposals which include calculations, product or design analysis, and conclusions. Prepare manufacturing documentation establishing dimensions, tolerances, materials and finishes. Develop test authorization requests and procedures.
§ Provide technical advice, guidance, direction and make necessary decisions. Review and approve designs, selection of material finishes, tooling, drawings and engineer orders. Perform MRB activity for conformance to form fit or function.
§ Provide support to production by determining the cause of manufacturing problems and instituting corrective action.
§ Support Marketing with technical assistance on assigned products such as answering technical questions, conducting feasibility studies, and performing calculations for specific applications.
Skills Required
BS Degree in ME or EE or Technical Discipline, and 6-9 years experience in engineering design and analysis. Overall knowledge of engineering design concepts in electro/mechanical field. Outstanding knowledge of technical theories and engineering laboratory methodology. Knowledge of FEA, FMEA, failure analysis tools and test procedures. Proficiency in CAD, preferably Pro/E.
