The Santa Fe Springs Carbon Operation designs and produces ceramic and carbon high temperature composites for aerospace and automotive applications. The Ceramic Composites applications include turbine engine components, industrial products and launch vehicles. The Carbon Composites business involves wet and dry friction applications with the focus on aircraft and specialty products. We offer a competitive benefits and compensation package.

Position Responsibilities:

-Must have strong Project Management skills including design, procurement, construction, implementation, start-up, and completion of assigned projects. Assignments include projects to improve or replace existing equipment, systems, and designs for manufacturing, R&D, and facilities.
-Ensure that all projects are funded, planned and implemented according to schedule, within scope and cost, and completed satisfactorily to internal customer requirements.
-Must have knowledge of plumbing, heating, ventilation, site survey, perform equipment selections, system layout & designs, P&ID's, and PLC's.
-Interface facilities planning with internal customers to understand layout space requirements.
-Create solutions utilizing AutoCad, as built drawings and overall facilities plan.
-Implement continuous improvement projects, 5S, time studies, and facility planning.

 

Basic Qualifications:

-Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Engineering Science, or related discipline.
-Minimum five years of Plant experience.
-Project Management experience.
-Must be able to investigate field requests, problem solve, and make corrections (trouble shoot) throughout the facility at any time.
-Must be able to frequently lift/carry 0-17 pounds and up to 40 pounds occasionally.
-Must be able to function in an industrial manufacturing environment.
-Ability to communicate effectively in the English language, both verbally and in writing, with employees, customers, vendors and regulatory agencies.
-Experience in Microsoft office products, Microsoft project, and AutoCad software (or equivalent), able to read P&ID's and ladder logic for PLC's.
