The Santa Fe Springs Carbon Operation designs and produces ceramic and carbon high temperature composites for aerospace and automotive applications. The Ceramic Composites applications include turbine engine components, industrial products and launch vehicles. The Carbon Composites business involves wet and dry friction applications with the focus on aircraft and specialty products. We offer a competitive benefits and compensation package. EOE AA

The purpose of the position is to support our business objectives -new product development, CMC process maturation, and development of proprietary technology for sustainable competitive advantage.

 

Basic Qualifications:

We prefer candidates who are self-starters, individuals who take initiative and who are results driven with demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills. Experience with composite materials (preforming, tooling, and composite processing) and materials characterization techniques are preferred, but not required.

Experience in product transition from R&D into production, lean manufacturing and six sigma are preferred, but not required. The successful candidate is expected to be a key team member in product innovation and process development in the area of ceramic matrix composites. The candidate is expected to be ready for project and program management responsibilities in 2-3 years after joining Goodrich.

Must possess a B.S. in an engineering discipline (Materials or Mechanical Engineering preferred).
