Search as you may, you will not find in San Diego county a company that specializes in roto-molding. Large and small hollow parts such as gas tanks, trash cans, and even mannequins can be made using this process. Fortunately, just up the coast and a bit more than 100 miles away exists a company whose employees graciously invited our chapter to partake in a fascinating morning of demonstration, knowledge distribution, and plenty of hands-on part analysis.
SME Chapter 44 would like to thank Mario, Mark, and all the employees of Jacobson Plastics for allowing us the chance to learn about this incredible process of making blow-molded polyethylene parts and for providing a great lunch for all.
