The Holiday Inn offers us a wonderful dinner starting with
appetizers, main course, side dish, holiday dessert, coffee or ice
tea, and incl tax/tip for $40 per person.  SME44 will add a carafe or
two of wine at each table.

The Holiday Inn is centrally located off I-15 at Aero Dr, just north
of I-8. Parking is plentiful and free.  There is additional
basement parking with an elevator to the banquet room floor.

Speaker:   Mary Lynn Price joins us from the San Diego
Underwater Photographic Society.

Title:  "Life Aquatic:  A Little History and High Adventure"

Video journalist and pioneering video podcaster Mary Lynn Price
combines archive imagery, high definition video and podcasting to
reach new audiences with stories of exploration and wild adventure. 
She will share some of her favorite productions in a fast-paced
visual presentation of historical images, high definition footage and
fascinating stories of lives aquatic.

Mary Lynn Price is a video journalist, producer and podcaster based
in San Diego.  She creates short films for film festivals, art
galleries, exhibitions and broadcast.  Her work has appeared in
nationally broadcast documentaries, award-winning news productions
and educational projects.  Mary Lynn founded DiveFilm.com in early
2000 as one of the first websites dedicated to streaming underwater
video on the internet.  In 2005 she launched the first video podcast
of underwater imagery to be featured at iTunes.  She teaches video
editing and short-form video storytelling on land and at sea.  You

Following Mary Lynn's talk, we'll thank the outgoing 2007 SME44 board, introduce the
incoming 2008 board, and hear a few words by our new Chairman, Dave
Sulli.

Discounted room nights:
The Holiday Inn will provide rooms to members at a discounted rate of
$109 (normally $149).  Reservations must be made directly with our

(858) 503-2544.  Maybe stay through the weekend near Fashion Valley
and close to Balboa Park, and be a tourist in your hometown!

It will be a very nice way to wrap up a terrific year, and start an
exciting, new one.

Dinner 2:  Chicken Marsala, with Green beans with Onions and
Parmesean Cheese, Oven roasted red potatoes au gratin, Caesar Salad
with Croutons, holiday dessert, coffee, tea, or milk
